Ephraim Adams has been involved withe steel drum/bands profession for over eighteen years, as a player, arranger and tuner/maker. 1. He was taught to play the steel drum while attending Bishops' High School in the mid 80's where he emerged as the leader of the School's Orchestra. He is well known for his outstanding contemporary steel drum playing and arrangements, that was his trademark, that made him the only student arranger to secure a winning place for the school band finals on the 1993 National Steel Band Competition. After Such an outstanding performance,he was a hot commodity for the country's big bands and he secured a place with the Banks Invaders Steel Orchestra where he became the lead player and took the band to many victories in various categories such as soloist, small band and conventional. Ephraim Adams was a member of the Guyana National Steel Band Movement. He is also the founder of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church's Young Achievers Steel Orchestra. He performed with many other groups that toured several Caribbean countries. Ephraim Adams was awarded the Arts and Culture Award in 1999-2000 by the National Bank of Industry and Commerce for his outstanding production of the Annual Festival of Carols Some of his current day live shows are done at Universal (Lone Palm & Bob Marleys) Resorts and beach clubs in and around orlando and freelance work with the landsharks band amoung others.
